256 BYTES/SECTOR HARD DISK REPLACEMENT
Many old machines were equipped with hard disks (and diskette drives) which are formatted with 256 bytes/sector. This format has been discontinued by nearly all manufacturers.
But don't worry ...

We can replace any conventional hard disk by a Solid State Disk which has absolutely *no* rotating parts.This means you have a replacement disk which runs for the next 100 years !
There are two major problems for *normal* mechanical hard disks which are
(1) If the system has not been used for months the HDD fails to startup !
(2) After more than two years in operation the HDD has mechanical problems !
